Acrylic (Perspex®) sheet is commonly used in display and signage applications due to its extensive range of colours. It is easy to machine, cut, drill and polish and can also be fabricated and formed. It has outstanding UV resistance and is resistant to some weak acids and alkalis. Acrylic (Perspex®) sheet is also commonly used in engineering applications where a clear plastic is required in a greater thickness available in Polycarbonate or PETG. Acrylic (Perspex®) sheet is not suitable for application requiring high impact strength.
Temperature: Up to +70°C (+90°C short term).
Key Features: Excellent optical properties, lightweight, good resistance to weak acids and alkalis.
Applications: Display cases, decorative shelving, displays, lighting, sight glass, working models & signage.
Acrylic sheet can be manufactured cast or extruded. Each method offers slightly different mechanical qualities.
