NBR rubber, also called buna-n, nitrile rubber and nitrile butadiene rubber, is a synthetic rubber manufactured from a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. NBR rubber is highly oil-resistant and is often used in the production of gaskets, rollers, fuel hoses and other rubber products in which high oil resistance is essential.
Nitrile rubber sheeting is resistant to most petroleum based fluids, oils, solvents and greases. It also has moderate mechanical properties and has resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons. White food quality nitrile and blue food quality nitrile are also available.
